There are many reasons you may want to load a website in compatibility mode. This can help you run older applications or websites. Our department may instruct you to run a website in compatibility mode. It's very simple to do, we have written this article to help you walk through it.
First, you'll want to load the site you want to run in compatibility mode.
In our case, we'll be loading access.northpoint.edu.
Secondly, you need to click on the 'gear' icon in the top-right of Internet Explorer.
Your domain should automatically be filled in (in our case, northpoint.edu). You need to click "Add" to the right of the domain.
Lastly, click close.
You have successfully enabled compatibility mode for a website! If you wish to undo this process, simply click the gear icon and click "remove" instead of "add."
Please contact us at support@northpoint.edu or comment on the article below to ask any questions you may have.
