Unfortunately it is no longer possible to scan and send documents using the printers on campus.
If you do need to scan something, you can use your phone/tablet.
For Apple devices follow the following steps:
- Go to the "Notes" app
- Create a new note by clicking on the pencil and paper in the bottom right corner
- Click on the plus above the keyboard
- Click on Scan Documents
- Hold the phone or tablet on a decent distance above the page that you are trying to scan.
- It should take a picture automatically when it finds the edges of the piece of paper.
- If it doesn't find the edges, make the picture manually and drag the corners of the selection to the edges of the page.
- Repeat step 5 for every page that you have.
- Click done and you will be able to send it to wherever you need it.
For Android devices follow these steps
- Open the Google drive app (not Sheets, Docs, or Slides)
- Go to the folder where you want your scans (or create one)
- Click on the plus in the bottom right corner
- Click on the Scan icon
- Hold the phone or tablet on a decent distance above the page that you are trying to scan.
- It should take a picture automatically when it finds the edges of the piece of paper.
- If it doesn't find the edges, make the picture manually and drag the corners of the selection to the edges of the page.
- Click the plus at the bottom to add another page.
- when you are done, click on the check mark in the bottom right corner.
- Now you can send it to wherever you need it or access it from the internet.
